Is it me or is this Cricket World Cup a bit less exciting than doing my toenails. Why don’t they play two matches per day in the Super Eights? Why don’t they make the group stages shorter? Why was there such a long build up? Why don’t the play games more frequently (ie like other ODI series)?

And what’s with Barry Richard’s hair?

Why? Why? Why?

  2. […] I see Matthew thinks the World Cup is one big Y.A.W.N. I wouldn’t go that far, but if your team is not performing to a level you expect them to, you are bound to lose interest. […]

  4. yeah that is probably exactly the reason they did it — but they’re hurting the world cup.

  5. TV time, I would imagine the reason for the loooong draaawwwn out WC session ( :) ) is in order to get the maximum out of TV time. If they played 2 games in a day different time zones would impact on how many viewers they would get.

  6. Snoooooozzzzeeee….snnnnooorrrreee… maybe it will get better if we make the quarters. eish.

  7. Yeah its so bloody long – I would be happy if the tournament was wrapped up by now.

  8. I agree, this Worldcup is dragging on way too long. The Aussies played their first warm-up game in the first week of March… thats ages ago!
